Intrusion detection system: reliable remote data transmission

Remote transmissions of the intrusion detection system are securely transmitted in accordance with EN 50136. The alarm receiving center meets the basic structural, security-related and organizational requirements of the EN 50518.

C: Implementation is carried out as described in the text above.

The “C” has not been assigned to Level 2.

No.

Criterion/Sub-Criterion

POW01.02

The power is supplied through primary and secondary sources

Supplies from the public grid and back-up standby power systems (generators) are accepted as power sources. The lines of the primary and secondary supply are routed on separate paths up to the switchboards or with special protection against external influences. The secondary supply is independent of the primary supply.

B: Implementation is carried out as described in the text above.

C: The secondary supply is based on different technology than the primary supply.

Improved in wording.

Criterion/Sub-Criterion

POW01.02A

The power is supplied through primary and secondary sources

Supplies from the public grid and back-up standby power systems (generators) are accepted as power sources. The lines of the primary and secondary supply are routed on separate paths up to the switchboards or with special protection against external influences. The secondary supply is independent of the primary supply.

B: The redundant connection to the mains can be either.

  • two supplies from idenpendent primary sources (e.g. two different substations), or
  • two supplies from one primary source (e.g. ring connection). In this case the stationary generators are redundant (device redundancy n+1 or system redundancy 2n)

C: The redundant connection to the mains can be either.

  • two supplies from idenpendent primary sources (e.g. two different substations), or
  • two supplies from one primary source (e.g. ring connection).

In both cases the stationary generators are redundant (system redundancy 2n)

This criterion has missed.

Criterion/Sub-Criterion

POW01.08

Design of transformers and switchgear

The transformers of each supply path are dimensioned in such a way that they can take over the full data center load; in addition, power reserves of the transformers are taken into account in the design.
Low-voltage switchgear complies with the EN 60947 series of standards.
Low-voltage switchgear and control gear assemblies comply with the EN 61439 series of standards.
High- and Medium-voltage switchgear complies with EN 62271-200.
In the case of multi-stage expansion concepts, the selection of components enables a scalable or modular solution.

C: Implementation is carried out as described in the text above.

The reference to the standard was wrong.

SEC02.01

Intrusion detection system: use of an appropriate intrusion detection system using the best available technology

The intrusion detection system and all of the detectors connected to it have an increased protection against attempts to overcome it. Reports are sent to a permanently manned office. In the European environment, EN 50131 is considered to be the state of the art. Outside the scope of the standard, the fundamental requirements are fulfilled. These include, among others, tamper detection and protection, fault messages, arming, energy supply, message processing, display and forwarding, as well as the requirements placed on the data connection. An installation company certificate is available.

B: A grade 3 system according to EN 50131 is used.

C: A grade 4 system according to EN 50131 is used.

The line header was incorrect.

SEC01.01

Access control system: use of an appropriate fire alarm system using state-of-the-art technology

For access to secure areas an access control system is installed. This has a function monitoring system, tamper monitoring and a secure energy supply, as well as opportunities for logging. Access areas are monitored with respect to their closed condition. At least access to IT rooms is performed via the access control system. In the European environment, EN 60839-11-1 represents the state-of-the-art. The application rules according to EN 60839-11-2 are complied with.

B: Implementation is carried out as described in the text above.

C: The access control system controls access to important technical rooms (e.g. LVMD, UPS, main distributions, central mechanical room). This is implemented for each individual room or for the security zone as a whole.

The number of the EN norm was mixed up.

No.

Criterion/Sub-Criterion

POW09.08

UPS: Design of a UPS system with power reserves

The UPS systems have sufficient power reserves.

C: Implementation is carried out as described in the text above.

The description of the criterion was the same as of POW09.09.

No.

Criterion/Sub-Criterion

POW09.09

UPS: Dimensioning of the energy store for complete shutdown of the IT

The energy store of the UPS is dimensioned in such a way that all IT components can be completely shut down.

C: Implementation is carried out as described in the text above.

The description of POW09.09 has been corrected from "…stored energy store…" to "…energy store…"

No.

Criterion/Sub-Criterion

POW11.05

ORG: Tests during initial commissioning and exchange

During initial commissioning, function and integration tests were performed and documented. Upon the exchange of systems (e.g. UPS, ESPS, transformer), test certificates from the manufacturer are available and limited function tests have been carried out.

B: Implementation is carried out as described in the text above.

C: Full load tests upon initial commissioning have been carried out.

The requirement class "B" has not been assigned to the levels.
