As a qualified Trust Service Provider (TSP) for long-term preservation, you can become a secure source for signed documents
If, as a qualified Trust Service Provider (TSP), you would like to offer services for the long-term preservation of signed documents, you must meet the security requirements laid down in the eIDAS Regulation. This framework requires to ensure, amongst other things, that the legal validity of qualified electronic signatures, seals and certificates will remain verifiable beyond the period of their technological validity.
We support you in the effective implementation of the eIDAS Regulation: From the planning of your services through the necessary tests all the way to the conformity assessment (certification), we can provide you with all the services required for successful qualification (award of qualification status) with your competent supervisory authority, which in Germany is the Federal Network Agency (BNetzA). This is the prerequisite for inclusion in the European eIDAS Trusted Service List (TSL) of qualified providers.
Are you already a qualified Trust Service Provider and will you soon have to reconfirm that you are implementing the applicable rules of the eIDAS Regulation, ETSI standards and national legislation? We can review your processes and documentation and carry out the re-certification.

What are electronic archives and preservation services?
Electronic archives are gaining ground in the face of increasing digitalization. In order to keep up with the times and with regard to aspects such as document management, rights administration or revision security, many companies are working on gradually digitalizing documents that were previously archived in paper form.
However, electronically signed, sealed or time-stamped documents are subject to different aging processes than their paper counterparts. The reason for this is the mathematical algorithms used for signatures, seals and certificates. Over time, they lose their suitability, which ultimately leads to a loss of evidential value. Algorithms used in signatures, seals and certificates must therefore be updated at regular intervals.
Providers of special electronic archives, so-called preservation services, take care of this and ensure that the evidential value of the signed or sealed documents is preserved by renewing the aging algorithms in due time.
